As Vice-President, Planning & Wealth Strategy, Kathleen leads Chronicle Wealth’s financial planning team and works closely with the firm’s Wealth Advisors on the planning needs of clients and their families. Her work brings together tax, estate, retirement, cash flow, corporate and intergenerational planning, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions with greater clarity and confidence. Kathleen also leads the development of Chronicle’s planning capabilities, standards and processes as the firm continues to evolve its financial planning offering.

Kathleen brings a broad business perspective to wealth planning. She began her career in public accounting with KPMG, building a strong foundation in accounting and tax, before moving into senior corporate roles with organizations including Nestlé, Unilever and Maple Leaf Foods. Her experience spans finance, strategy and business planning, giving her insight into many of the opportunities, challenges and decisions successful families and business owners face. She later brought that experience into private wealth management, advising individuals, families and business owners on complex tax, estate, succession and wealth-planning matters.

Kathleen earned her Bachelor of Commerce from Mount Allison University. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA), and has completed advanced studies in Canadian taxation. She has a particular interest in the intersection of tax and financial planning and in helping families navigate the often-complex overlap of financial, business and family considerations.

Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys live music, singing, reading, travel and staying active. She loves discovering new restaurants and seeing live performances, and usually has a book on the go.
